My Dearest Daughter,

I see your loneliness and fear. I know your hurt and your heartaches. In a special bottle I am storing each and every one of your tears. I see you searching for love, for happiness, for fulfillment. As much as I hate to see your pain, as much as it grieves me to see you struggle, all this must be, in order for you to totally and completely come to the end of your own understanding: only then can you fully hear my voice. Listen very carefully. Amidst the noise of the world, I’m calling. My voice is in the midst of your worst fears tenderly beseeching you to trust me, in the pain of your loneliness. If you hold real still, you can feel my arms encircling you and hear my soothing words of comfort. Yes, that still, small voice within you is mine. Yes, that gentle touch is me. Give me your pain- yes, all of it, and I will give you my peace. Give me your sorrow and I will give you joy unspeakable. I cherish you, Daughter. I shed my blood so that you could be clean. I want you for my companion, my bride, to love and cherish now and throughout eternity and I plan to dress you in the most beautiful of white garments. As you live out the joy and experience the wonder of being my bride, I will be your gentle tutor conforming you to my image. I must begin by teaching you how to serve and live in submission to me. Let me convince you of your great value so that you may be able to fully share the love I have given you with the one you someday choose to bring to me as your earthly husband. Then, and only then, will you be the kind of wife I would choose for him. Give yourself completely to me. I want you to deny me nothing. I will not hurt you. I will not disappoint you. You can trust me- completely. I keep my promises. Do not be overly critical of yourself or become depressed because you are not perfect in your own eyes. It saddens me greatly to hear you criticize and devalue the one I love so much. Daughter, in me, you are complete and lacking in nothing. What right do you have to criticize the one I treasure? On what grounds do you find fault with what I have so fearfully and wonderfully made? Why do you call what I deem beautiful- ugly? Why do you believe that that one I love enough to die for is not good enough? Daughter, I want you to know who you are in me. I mean who you really are in me- completely loved and totally forgiven. I want you to trust me one step, one day, one second at a time. Dwell in My power and My love and be all that you are in me, in My strength, and in My power. Do not fear what might happen or what the future may bring because my grace is sufficient and I will take care of you. Daughter, I know that you long to give yourself to someone, to have a deep relationship with him, and to be loved thoroughly and exclusively by him. But I must say no. Not until my love is enough. Not until you can see yourself truly complete in me. I love you, my child. Until you discover that your joy and satisfaction can be found in me alone, you will not be capable of handling the problems and disappointments that are part of every relationship. You can never be truly united with another in the way your heart desires, only I can fill that emptiness, only I can supply that need, only I can love you enough. You must be united with me, exclusive of anyone or anything else, exclusive of any other desires or longings before you will have the strength to endure the many heart-aches and, yes, even soul-aches of even a seemingly perfect human relationship. I want you to stop planning, stop wishing, and allow me to give you my faithfulness, my gentleness, and my self-control. Then, you will need no other. Daughter, I want you to allow me to be enough. You must keep your eyes on me, expecting the greatest and the best things from me. Keep experiencing the satisfaction of knowing that I am and that you are my child. Keep learning and listening to the things I tell you. Stay close by my side. Seek my face in the morning, my presence throughout the day, and my comfort at night. I am always there, Daughter. I will never leave you or forsake you. But, you must wait. Don’t be anxious. Do not get in a hurry. Don’t look around and fear or envy the things others have received from me. You must keep from looking off or away. Look up to me or you’ll miss the things I want to show you, and then, when you are ready, I’ll give you the desires I have put in your heart, the strength to endure all things, and the courage to risk your heart. You see, until you are ready and the one I have for you is ready… I am working even this minute to have you both ready at the same time… until you are both living to, which you will, however imperfectly, reflect your relationship in me. First give me time to heal your wounds, console your heartaches, and ease your disappointments. Find me time to erase the painful memories of the past. Give me time to heal you and make you whole and complete in me. I want you to experience real “agape” love- not the selfish, false love of the world. I want you to learn love that is patient and always kind. Love that knows no envy and is never boastful or proud. Love that is never rude or self-seeking. Love that is not easily angered or keeps a record of wrong. Love that does not delight in evil but instead rejoices in truth. The love I want for you, Daughter, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, never fails. Because this love is of the spirit and not of the flesh, its natural fruit is joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I cannot give this love to you in or even through another except dimly, and then only in a limited capacity- for all will fail and eventually disappoint you. This perfect love, Daughter, can only be found in me. Let my perfect love flow from you and spill over to all you touch. Be not concerned with yourself; you are my responsibility. I will change you often without you even knowing it. Take your eyes off yourself, look only to me, I lead, I change, I create, but only when you are not striving. You are mine; let me have the joy of making you into my image- only I can do this. Above all else, look to me and me only, never to yourself and never to others. Do not struggle, relax and trust my love. I know what is best and will do it in and through you if you’ll let me. Stop trying to become, and let me transform you from within. I love you Daughter. We Must Give Our Best To God

As we worship God, we give Him ourselves. Romans 12:1 says, "I beseech you therefore, brethern, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God which is your reasonable service." Under the Old Testament some of the Jews were not offering their best and were condemned for it. In Malachi 1:8 we read, "And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil?" Is it not just as evil today when we do not give God our best?

Under the New Testament we do not offer animal sacrifices as the Jews did under the Old Testament; but we give Him our lives in service to Him as a living sacrifice. In doing this we must give Him our all. Anything we do for God must be our very best. Jesus tells us in Matthew 22:37, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your mind." All our heart, soul, and mind, or in other words, our total being must be in our worship.

How do we show our love to God? Our Lord says in John 14:21, "He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me." We show our love to God when we keep His commandments. We do not show our love to God if we only keep the commandments we want to keep or if we add some of our own commandments.

In Matthew 28:18, before Christ ascended into heaven, He was giving His apostles some last minute instructions concerning those they would baptize. Jesus said, "Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you." Everything the Lord has commanded us is to be observed. We are to do all that God says and in the way He says to do it. Jesus says in Luke 6:46, "But why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?"

In worship we must do all God has commanded and we must not do anything He has not authorized. Our worship must be from the heart with all reverence and sincerity. We must give Him our very best. Then and only then will we be worshipping God "in spirit and in truth". The purpose and holiness of true worship to God is a precious privilege available only to those who are obedient to the will of God.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, and the ultrasound images of a baby being aborted spoke a silent “change of heart” to a former Planned Parenthood director in southeast Texas.

The 29-year-old woman, Abby Johnson, used to escort women into the Bryan, Texas, clinic during her eight years as a volunteer for and employee of Planned Parenthood. Johnson told FoxNews.com, “When I was working at Planned Parenthood I was extremely pro-choice.”

All that changed when she watched an ultrasound of an abortion that took place in October. Johnson said she saw the fetus “crumple” during the vacuum procedure and that was the fateful moment, “I would say there was a definite conversion in my heart … a spiritual conversion.” Johnson quit her job and joined a pro-life group that prays outside the clinic.

The doctor continued, "Around the fiftieth day,the embryo takes on the form of a human being, Zola thought, "Thats Pentecost!" The next picture showed the embryo at seven months. The doctor said, "On the first day of the seventh month, the baby's hearing is developed. For the first time it can hear and distinguish sounds outside the womb." Zola knew that was the date for the Jewish Festival of Trumpets ! On the tenth day of the seventh month, the hemoglobin of the blood changes from that of the mother to a self sustaining baby. Zola thought,"Thats the Day of Atonement, when the blood was taken into the Holy of holies!" On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, the lungs become fully developed."And Zola thought,"Thats The Festival of Tabernacles, a time of celebrating the Temple, home of the Shekinah Glory or Spirit of God." Eight days after birth, in Jewish families, a son is circumcised. Zola noted that the eight days of Hanukkah are celebrated right on schedule, nine months and ten days after Passover. Boy Burned by Bullies, Mother Says Michael Brewer Staying Strong

"It's a complete nightmare."

That's from Valerie Brewer, whose 15-year-old son, Michael Brewer was doused with rubbing alcohol and set on fire after he turned in another teen for trying to steal his father's bicycle.

Brewer said her son was strong and would pull through despite the burns over much of his body, and in interviews this week, said that Michael couldn't talk but was communicating with her by motioning with his hands.

As many as 20 present at gang rape outside school dance

Investigators say as many as 20 people were involved in or stood and watched the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl outside a California high school homecoming dance Saturday night.

Police posted a $20,000 reward Tuesday for anyone who comes to them with information that helps arrest and convict those involved in what authorities describe as a 2½-hour assault on the Richmond High School campus in suburban San Francisco.

Two teenage suspects have been jailed, but more arrests, as many as 20 total, are expected, according to a police detective.

The victim was found unconscious under a bench shortly before midnight Saturday, after police received a call from someone in the area who had overheard people at the assault scene "reminiscing about the incident," Richmond Police Lt. Mark Gagan said.

The girl was flown by helicopter to a hospital where she was admitted in critical condition. She was in stable condition Tuesday, police said.

Buy One, Get Two Free!

You know it is the Holiday season when nearly everywhere you look you find colorful advertisements boasting "great deals." Looking at the top of today's paper my attention was drawn to big bold letters screaming, "Buy One Get One Free." On the next page, a similarly attentive ad with the headline, "Buy One Get Two Free!"

Yet in all these good deals, there is one deal that continues to stand out. A deal that has stood out for nearly 2,000 years, and a deal that doesn't require rain-checks or even getting up at 4 in the morning. If we were to give this deal a similar title, I'm sure it would read something like, "By One, Billions Free!"

This deal, of course, is salvation through Christ. Freedom from Satan's power, freedom from eternal punishment, and as a bonus, a personal relationship with God Himself (John 8:36). In essence, it is the only deal that let's you start over and be something even better (2 Corinthians 5:17)... And the best part is, it's already been paid for! This amazing, life changing deal was paid for by God Himself, who came down to die so that you would not have to [spiritually] (Romans 5:8).

And all this deal requires is you "cashing in the coupon." Like going to the store and buying something you do not have, all you have to do is realize that without God you have nothing... and without God you cannot be freed from your sins (Romans 3:23). And once you realize this, all you have to do is ask God to forgive you, and change your life because you know that Jesus has already paid for your sins. Just like that coupon, all you have to do is ask the cashier to take it, knowing by faith it is good, and you're going to get a great deal... a life saver (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Will 'Antichrist' come to your neighborhood?

Already dubbed "the most horrific movie ever seen" for explicit and pornographic sadomasochism, violence and occult content, the film "Antichrist" is not yet rated, but when it is, the rating it gets could determine whether or not it's seen in your local theater – and there may be something you can do about it.

The Christian media ministry MovieGuide is inviting people concerned about the film's gruesome and graphic content to join a petition of the Motion Picture Association of America to rate the movie NC-17, which would not only prevent children from viewing the film, but also dissuade many theaters from showing it.

"Coming to your local theater Oct. 23 is a movie that I can only call the most horrific movie ever seen," writes Dr. Ted Baehr, founder and publisher of Movieguide and chairman of the Christian Film & Television Commission. "It's called 'Antichrist,' and it's filled with a wicked worldview, vile pornographic scenes, onscreen mutilation of private parts and some other material which I simply cannot describe to you in a family publication.

"We cannot stop this movie," he continues, "but we have a strategy which we believe will be the next best thing."

Is There Only One Way?

A great many people today believe there are many roads leading to salvation. They will argue, "What makes you think your way is right? My way is just as good as your way." How can people be expected to think any differently when there are thousands of religions with different views on the same subject? Is there only one way that leads to salvation? What does God’s word say?

The Lord says the gate is small and the way is narrow, and there are very few people who find it (Matt. 7:14). We must enter by that narrow door, which means we must live as Jesus gave us example to live, to find eternal life. Anyone who climbs up some other way is like a thief and a robber (John 10:1). Jesus boldly proclaims that He is the door (John 10:9).

God’s word says there is only one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith and one baptism (Eph. 4:4-5). Then, it would only stand to reason that there is only one way or one truth. Remember, it is impossible for God to lie and no lie is of the truth (Heb. 6:18; 1 John 2:21). Jesus Christ not only proclaimed He is the door, but also that He is the truth (John 14:6).

Jesus said everyone on earth will be judged by the words in the Bible and by their works (Rev. 20:12). Those who live a life of good works for God’s glory will be resurrected to eternal life (John 5:28-29; Matt. 5:16). Their names are recorded in the book of life and they will receive eternal life (Luke 10:20).

If everyone is going to be judged by the words of Jesus Christ that are found in the Bible, then it stands to reason that the Bible itself is truth (John 12:47-50). Jesus says everyone who keeps, does, performs or practices His sayings will never see death (John 8:51). Only those who do the Will of God will abide forever (1 John 2:17). These life-and-death Scriptures show that Jesus Christ’s words are the Will of God, because they have eternal life as the reward.

The subject of works is tragically misunderstood by many today. Evil works are Man’s works done apart from God (Jer. 17:9-10). Good works are the works Jesus Christ did to please the Father. He came to show us what to do and how to do it. We are also to do these works in order to imitate the Lord (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; Matt. 5:16).

The one and only way is the way Jesus Christ lived. As a result, He overcame the pulls of the world (Rev. 3:21; 5:5; John 14:30; 16:33). We, too, must overcome by performing Jesus Christ’s works and enduring to the end, so that we may be found worthy to reign with Him in His kingdom (Rev. 2:5, 26-27).

Yes, there is only one way that leads to eternal life. Now you know that way. Study God’s word daily; pray for others, as well as your own needs; and above all, be a doer of the word.

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is urging Christian supporters of Israel worldwide to immediately contact their respective national governments this week and voice their opposition to the UN Human Rights Council’s consideration of the Goldstone report.

Debate over the Goldstone report at a special session of the UN Human Rights Council is now slated to begin on Thursday, with a vote expected on Friday. Time is of the essence in expressing our views and impacting the potential votes of the 47 member nations on the UNHRC.

The Goldstone report unjustly accuses Israel of committing war crimes and possibly crimes against humanity during the conflict against the Hamas terror militia in Gaza last January. Israeli leaders have rightly rejected this report as biased against the Jewish state and tainted by Palestinian distortions and misinformation.

The Palestinian Authority, supposedly Israel’s peace partner, is seeking to secure the UNHRC’s endorsement of the Goldstone report and its eventual referral to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, in hopes that senior Israeli military and political officials will be prosecuted for war crimes in that forum.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned in response that further UN action on the slanted Goldstone report will severely hamper the peace process, as his government will not be able to take risks for peace if the international community denies Israel its legitimate right to self-defense.

The Israeli people share a sense that they are all being indicted by this report and its endorsement and referral could have grave and long-lasting consequences for the Jewish State.

So please contact your government leaders today, calling on them to reject any further action on the Goldstone report.

Together we can make a difference in swaying their vote, which will provide a much needed moral lift for Israel.

Do you ever look in the mirror and wished you were different? Maybe you are too short, or too tall, or too thin, or too heavy. The list never seems to end. Even the super model seems to be preoccupied with the one slight imperfection that nobody else even notices. It seems that most of us, in varying degrees, are not happy with the way we were made.

For some of us, it might physical dissatisfaction, while for others it might be that we're not be smart enough, or outgoing enough, or etc. etc. etc. Our society has believed a lie that says we have to look and act a certain way in order to be accepted. Even those who make up the standards of acceptance feel unaccepted deep down in their hearts. No matter how hard we try to change our outward appearance in order to gain love and acceptance, I am afraid that it will always elude us.

True love and acceptance does not come from changing ourselves to become more loveable, for according to Psalm 139, we all already loved just the way we are. In verse 14, the psalmist cries out "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." When God created us, He made us exactly the way He planned. When He designed us, before we were even in our mother's womb, He planned our size, the color of our eyes, the color of our skin, everything about us!

Just as He proclaimed His creation good in Genesis 1, He proclaims that we were made perfect in His site. When we believe the Hollywood lies that we are not good enough, we are in fact, disagreeing with how God made us. Your Father in heaven does not make junk! You are fearfully and wonderfully made and God's work in your life is wonderful! You do not need to conform to somebody else's image of success, but only ask God for ears to hear His delight in your creation.

The next time you look in the mirror, don't be afraid of what you see, for you were made in the image of God, and He declares that you are fearfully and wonderfully made!

PRAYER
Father, forgive me for not agreeing with You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Forgive me for believing the lies that I have to be somebody other than who I am. Help me to come into agreement with Your love for me and not despise all my imperfections. The fact that You love me and accept me is more important than the love and acceptance from anyone else. Is it really possible for there to be a one-world government, economy, and religion as the Bible speaks of? When I was going through my formal theological training 20 years ago, I have to admit that I really never saw the probability of some of the things spoken of in the Book of Revelation happening in my lifetime. I thought it was impossible in the world as we knew it in the 90s to ever see a one-world government, or economy, or religion. There were just too many factors that made that type of scenario impossible. Fast forward to the year 2009, and we now live in a world that is ripe for the emergence of a one-world government, economy, and religion.

My warnings for the past year about King Obama, excuse me, President Obama, have been about the spiritual impact of his philosophies on politics and life and the fact he opposes God on every major spiritual issue of our day. The danger of his socialist political ideology is that it puts the United States in play to see the formation of a one-world government, economy, and religion. It now aligns us with most of the European countries and many other nations around the world, making it very possible for the pages of Revelation to be fulfilled, even in our lifetime!

We have already been living in a global economy for several decades now. China has recently been pushing for a new world currency to replace the dollar. With the strength of the Euro, the declining value of the dollar, discussion of a new one-world currency takes on a new significance. There is no doubt that due to the economic crisis across the globe, the advent of a one-world currency and economic system could happen rather quickly. Economists will proffer the new one-world currency and economic system as the answer to the current economic crisis that is affecting all of the nations of the world.

A one-world government could easily fall into place as well. With the UN and other organizations involving numerous nations, with the European Union, the reality of a North American Union involving the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the ability to pull together the various governments around the world becomes a much easier task. Once again, the political philosophies of President Obama make the United States a ripe candidate for these type of alliances that could easily evolve into a one-world government.

What is the 'emerging church' or the 'emerging movement'? The emerging, or emergent, church movement takes its name from the idea that as culture changes, a new church should emerge in response. In this case, it is a response by various church leaders to the current era of post-modernism. Although post-modernism began in the 1950s, the church didn't really seek to conform to its tenets until the 1990s. Post-modernism can be thought of as a dissolution of "cold, hard fact" in favor of "warm, fuzzy subjectivity." The emerging / emergent church movement can be thought of the same way.

The following are the beliefs/teachings behind the Emerging Church:

•The world is radically changing and the church must radically change with it
•Since the Church has been culture bound for so long we must reexamine and question every belief and practice in the Church, finding new ways to define
•We have no foundation for any beliefs, therefore we cannot know absolute truth
•Since we cannot know absolute truth, we can only experience what is "true" for our communities
•Since we cannot know absolute truth we cannot be dogmatic about doctrine
•Since we cannot know absolute truth we cannot be dogmatic about moral standards
•Since we cannot know absolute truth, dogmatic preaching must give way to a dialogue between people of all beliefs
•Since propositional truth is uncertain, spiritual feeling and social action make up the only reliable substance of Christianity
•To capture a sacred feeling we should reconnect with ancient worship forms
•Since sublime feeling is experienced through outward forms, we should utilize art forms in our worship
•Through conversation with them, "outsiders" will become part of our community, and then be able to understand and believe what we teach
•All are welcome to join the "conversation" as long as they behave in a kind and open-minded manner.
•The ultimate goal is to make the world a better place

The Lord Jesus Christ himself warned that in the closing hours of history, if it were possible, even the elect would be deceived. That is a high degree of subtlety and it explains why so few evangelicals are challenging men like Erwin McManus and Brian McLaren and Doug Pagitt and Tony Jones and all the others on the emergent bandwagon.

2 Tim. 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, [4] and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

If your church is part of the emerging church movement, then run don't walk to the nearest exit and never look back. The world will one day hold hands and sing in unison, and worship the anti-Christ. Many will be fooled because they will have no foundation to stand on, and no belief that the Bible is the true word of God, so all they will have is false teachers to tell them what to believe. Don't allow yourself or your children to be one of these fooled and lost individuals. Guard your soul and your doctrine, the time is short.

How We Can Help

This past week has seen a lot of disasters in our world. Tsunami's, earthquakes, and massive flooding. It breaks my heart to see the pictures on TV and how people are suffering.

The sad thing is that so many are suffering financially that they are not able to give to places like The Red Cross who help these victims out. What can we do? If we are not able to help financially we can always pray.

There will be, in Jerusalem and in every part of the world, shouts of joy and a time of partying, singing, and celebration lasting forever. There will be upon the earth a celebration to end all celebrations. There will be joy and gladness in every heart. All things will be made new. All the old problems will be gone. No one will weep. No one will cry. No one will hunger. No one will thirst. No one will mourn. Goodness and love will reign forever and ever in every heart.

Ways We Can Honor God

Honoring god in our daily lives can be something that many of us over look. Being a Christian means more then just going to Church on Sunday or being a good person. To be a good Christian one should accept that Jesus Chris is their Savior who died for their sins, and we must honor and worship God and have the Holy Spirit in our hearts.

One good way to be a good Christian is to be a good example. I'm sure that you have noticed something special about a person, that they are different then the rest of the flock. Later you find out that that person is a Christian. People are drawn to a person that follows the Lord. What a great way to touch the heart of a nonbeliever and to put that spark in their heart that might bring them to God.

Another way to honor God is to read Christian writings. A good book by a writer like Billy Graham or Rick Warren can inspire you and help your relationship grow with the Lord.

Supporting missionaries is also an excellent way to honor God. A missionary can make changes in parts of the world that need it most. Your support of a missionary makes it possible for a person far a way to here God's message that may have not had another opportunity.

Volunteering at your Church is a good way to honor God. Volunteering is a way to give something more valuable then money, your time. When you volunteer at your church, you will experience a great fellowship with other members of your church and can really make a difference in your local community.

It is also important to help your local community outside of your church. Helping the needy and downtrodden can be humbling to you, and may just help the needy and show them the way to the Lord.

An easy way to honor God is to wear Christian t-shirts, apparel and jewelry. A Christian message on a t-shirt or hoodie may be the only good news a person sees all day. This can be quite an effective way to spread the word.

Wearing Christian clothing also reminds you, that you are a man or woman of God. In a since, you are saying, I am making a stand, I am a Christian.

Christian jewelry can also be a very effective way to honor God. Many young people like to wear purity or I'll wait rings to show that they intend to stay pure until they are married. There are also attractive rings for men and women. Instead of wearing flashy jewelry that shows off your wealth, why not wear a ring that shows that you are spiritually wealthy.

What ever you do, or how ever you do it, honor God every day. This will help to bring both you closer to the Lord and may help to inspire others to seek a relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Ray Comfort to Give Away 50,000 Copies of Origin of Species

I watch Way of The Master every week. I really enjoy it. I follow Ray's blog every day as well. I admire what he does and he faces a tough crowd. It is not easy witnessing to atheist. I recently heard the announcement that he is giving away 50,000 copies of Darwin's Origin of Species, that number apparantly has gone up to 100,000. He writes a forward in the book and apparantly presents evidence why evolution is false and evidence for creation. Basically letting students look at the evidence before them and letting them decide what is true. I will be praying that many come to the truth!

11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.
12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity."
13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.
14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, "There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath."
15 The Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?
16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?"

Luke 13:10-16 (NIV)

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this story is the faith of the woman. She had been crippled by a spirit for 18 long years, yet on the Sabbath she was in the synagogue. Bent over, unable to straighten up at all, how many of us would have given up on God long before? Jesus appears to confirm the faith of this woman when He calls her ‘a daughter of Abraham’.

Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham.

Her response upon being set free is to immediately praise God.

The response from the synagogue ruler was indignation. He was so caught up in legalism that he missed a personal encounter with the Son of God.

Jesus had told the woman she was “set free”, but this was beyond the ruler’s understanding, he preferred “healed”. Jesus used a parable where an ox or donkey needed to be untied from where it was bound, then it could be led to water. So there was no misunderstanding, Jesus even explained this parable, repeating that she had been bound – “by Satan” - and needed to be “untied” from what bound her.

There was a spiritual root to this physical problem, and Jesus released her from it.

Perhaps you feel crippled in an area of your life. It could be something that you have suffered with for a long time. Whether it’s physical or affects your personality in some way, you may be bound.

The ‘synagogue’ rulers may or may not be sympathetic to your needs, but there is one who is, the one who you have faith in. He values the ‘children of Abraham’, and only He has the power to set you free.

Most importantly, keep your faith, and remain in the ‘synagogue’. You will encounter Him yet. It may be years from now or it may be today.

Spend some time in prayer. If you are bound in some way, then ask Him to release you. Perhaps you know of someone who needs to be set free, pray for them.

There is no modern substitute for the gospel. Thus the gospel is simply the good news that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has also become man, that He might die in atonement for the sins of man, and then, after His body was buried for three days, rise again from the grave, forever settling man's sin-debt before a holy God.

Men may talk about a “social gospel,” a “full gospel,” a “new gospel,” or some other gospel, but there is only one gospel, and that is the “everlasting gospel” (Revelation 14:6). No wonder Paul said:

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:9).

The gospel is still the good news, and there will never be another.

No Greater Love-Justice vs Grace

How much does God love us? Well let's put it this way. Say my child who I love very much was murdered. I basically have three choices. I could kill the murderer (that eye for an eye thing), let the law take care of him, or forgive the murder.

God sent his only son who he loved dearly to earth. Jesus was murdered because of us, because of our sins. He suffered greatly for us. God also had those three choices. He could have chose justice and killed all of us, or brought judgment upon the whole earth to avenge his son's death, but he didn't do any of those things He chose grace. He forgives us but goes one step further, doing what we could not ever do in the same situation. He forgives us, adopts us into his family, gives us his son's inheritance, and loves us just as much as his son.

That is amazing grace!

My daughter and I watched a special the other night on TBN about miracles that happened in people's life after viewing The Passion of The Christ. It's been 5 years since the movie was released and I think we all need to watch it again! I know that it changed me. It's one thing to read about what Christ did for us but another to see it. It is a powerful movie. I encourage you to watch it again and if you have unsaved friends or loved ones invite them over to see it too.

Rifqa Bary is a 17 year-old Sri Lankan native who was living in New Albany, Ohio (a suburb of Columbus) until recent dramatic events precipitated her flight to Orlando, Florida. An excellent student and High School cheerleader, Rifqa apostasized from Islam, clandestinely practicing Christianity for some 4-years by her account.

"The child's parents are devout followers of Islam and members of the extreme Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Columbus, Ohio. This is where the internationally known Hamas cleric, Salah Sultan, was the resident scholar before being banned from the United States. Salah Sultan is known as a global terrorist who publicly advocates the killing of Americans and Jews. The largest cell of Al Qaeda operatives was operating from the largest mosque in the Columbus area. Columbus is one of the cities under current investigation concerning the U.S. operations of Al-Qaeda. The child is a target for the radical Muslim community of Columbus, Ohio."

Subjected to paternal abuse (bruises on Rifqa's limbs classmates allegedly brought to the attention of her High School counselor), Rifqa ultimately felt compelled to flee Ohio in July when her father threatened to murder his "apostate" daughter. She found temporary refuge in Orlando, Florida with Reverend Blake Lorenz, pastor of the Orlando-based Global Revolution Church, whom she had met through an online Facebook group.

God wants us to know His grace. He wants us to learn about it, and then experience it at work in our lives. Grace has rightly been described as "unmerited favor." The acronym, "God's Riches At Christ's Expense" catches more of its majesty. Grace is God freely providing for us (as we trust in the work of His Son) all that we will ever need, all that we will ever yearn for, all that He has commanded us to walk in and become—realities that we could never produce on our own, could never earn, and could never deserve. Grace offers what every human desperately needs, but what God alone can provide.

This grace is found only in a person, the Lord Jesus. It is the "grace of our Lord Jesus Christ." Thus, it is accessible only through an ongoing personal relationship with Him.

Praise Elevates us into God’s Presence and Power

Paul and Silas knew the secret of how to lift their hearts above their troubles and enter into God’s presence and power. Through praise and worship their hearts were raised into the joyous presence and peace of God, and provided God a channel for his power to operate in their circumstances.

The Bible says that God inhabits in the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3). In other words, God “dwells” in the atmosphere of His praise. This means that praise is not merely a reaction from coming into His presence - Praise is a vehicle of faith which brings us into the presence and power of God! Praise and worship is the “gate-pass” which allows us to enter the sacredness of His glory. The psalmist writes, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalms 100:4).

This corresponds with Jesus’ teaching, that His presence will inhabit the gathering of believers who congregate in His name: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). A “gathering in His name” means that Jesus must be the focus, the center of the assemblage. He must be the one preached about, sung about — the one praised and worshiped. “I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee” (Hebrews 2:12). Consequently, Christ’s presence, along with His virtue and anointing, is manifested in this type of gathering.

Have you ever noticed when “gifts of the Spirit” operate in a church service? The power and anointing of the Holy Spirit usually becomes evident, subsequent to a time of worship and praise. Some think that worship is a response after the Holy Spirit moves upon them. However, it’s the other way around. God’s presence responds when we move upon Him with worship! Lifting up Jesus Christ through praise and worship invokes the Lord’s presence and power to flow in our midst.

A website that features celebrities and others testifying for Christ has become an Internet sensation.

Just over seven months ago, the website IAmSecond.com was launched. The multimedia campaign is backed by Norm Miller, owner of Interstate Batteries. It features celebrities such as Brian Welch, former lead guitarist for the band Korn, actor Stephen Baldwin, and American Idol contestant Jason Castro.

Nathan Sheets is with e3 Partners Ministry, which created the site. He says the site also features people who have dealt with real-life issues. "Such as adultery, emptiness, abandonment, abuse, addictions, things like that -- and how God has brought people out of those," he explains.

IAmSecond.com recently surpassed one million hits. Sheets says an updated website is in the works.

"We're actually working on a 2.0 version of the website, which will allow people to engage with it far more than just being entertained by it, and [to] use it more as a tool to help share and reach other people for Christ. Along with that, we have new videos which we have posted."

The website also provides listings of local churches and discussion groups.

Communion on the Moon - July 20, 1969

Forty years ago today two human beings changed history by walking on the surface of the moon. But what happened before Buzz Aldrin (pictured in the LM, left) and Neil Armstrong exited the Lunar Module is perhaps even more amazing, if only because so few people know about it.

The background to the story is that Aldrin was an elder at his Presbyterian Church in Texas during this period in his life, and knowing that he would soon be doing something unprecedented in human history, he felt he should mark the occasion somehow, and he asked his pastor to help him. And so the pastor consecrated a communion wafer and a small vial of communion wine. And Buzz Aldrin took them with him out of the Earth’s orbit and on to the surface of the moon.

A Monkey Out Of A Man

Whenever men try to find knowledge that would disprove a creator God, we should be curious about the reasons they are doing so (Psalm 14:1-3). A creation without a creator would mean that man is not responsible for his actions during his lifetime.

One measuring device for a man’s credibility is his honesty, integrity and morality. We do not need to check into history too far to find that these virtues were seriously deficient in many of those who were considered wise men in the past - people such as Darwin, Jung, Adler, Plato and Aristotle.

Is it an accident that man picked a monkey or an ape as our predecessor? Or did God bring to foolishness the wisdom of the wise (1 Cor. 1:20; 3:18-20; Is. 44:24-25)? Ask yourself why there are no half-man, half-monkey creatures found in the fossil record.

If the evolution of a species happens gradually over millions of years, why then is the fossil record silent on any species in the process of evolving? The absence of these missing links alone should discount the entire theory, and it most certainly does.

Theory means, "I guess," yet evolutionists have the audacity to present their theory as fact after the first few pages of introduction. This should prove to one and all their dishonesty. Do you not get the feeling that they are trying to persuade us to believe their fairy tales by intimidation?

If the theory of evolution were introduced for the first time in this day and age, it would be considered a joke. Charles Darwin said himself that his theory could never be proved unless the missing link could be found in the fossil record. That has never happened.

Today, dishonest anthropologists find a chunk of bone, then fashion a head around that bone and claim this is what our distant cousins looked like. How ignorant do they think we are? Or are they trying to make us ignorant?

Let us keep our eyes on God who is coming soon to judge us according to our deeds - whether we are serving and pleasing Him by practicing righteousness toward others (which is living to the Spirit) or whether we are continuing to serve self (which is the flesh) (Rom. 6:13; 8:5-8, 13; 1 John 3:10).

Man has certainly made a monkey out of himself by claiming that he came from a monkey. It is time to stop monkeying around, believe God’s word and stop this foolishness that is falsely called knowledge (2 Tim. 2:25; 3:7; Heb. 10:26; 2 Peter 3:18).

What Was Jesus Like?

Jesus was a likable person because He was kind, outgoing and gentle in spirit. He was compassionate and showed mercy to the poor, the lowly and those who had no helper. He had many friends, some closer than others. Peter and Lazarus were very special to Him. Many women were also His
friends, and He was very close to some of them.

Jesus did the work of His Father by proclaiming the kingdom of heaven is at hand for those who change their lives by repenting (Matt. 4:17). Jesus came to proclaim the good life of God. He came to proclaim that when you live this life, you will be assured blessings, abundant peace, joy and every
good thing (John 10:10; 15:11). All your prayers will be answered (John 14:14; 15:7; Matt. 7:7).

Jesus knew He couldn't change people from their wicked ways. He could not force anyone to repent, but He could proclaim the message as a witness. This message is the good news of how we can get rid of our evil natures by practicing God's Ways so that God can bless us (Acts 3:26). All we need to
do is imitate Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 11:1). He was a living example, showing us, by His good deeds, how easy it is to overcome and live a godly life (John 10:32; Matt. 11:30).

Not all those who understood His message took it to heart, but a few did (Matt 13:19-23). Jesus was as a salesman selling a good way of life, but few were interested or believed His message (Matt. 11:30; 22:14). Many of those few who responded and strived to enter by the narrow door by living for God each day never finished, but others did endure to the end and were saved (Luke 13:24; Matt. 10:22; 24:13).

They were all reminded not to become weary in well-doing (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). They were told that if they endured, they would receive the prize of ruling the nations of this earth with Christ (Rev. 2:26-27). They would also have Jesus Christ's nature formed in them (Gal. 4:19).

Those who continued to sacrifice, by doing good for God on a daily basis, eventually entered God's rest (Heb. 4:10; 13:16, 21; Rom. 12:1-2). Then all they needed to do was endure to the end, living the happy, peaceful, abundant life that Jesus lived and gave us example to live (Matt. 10:22; Rev. 2:26).

It's a simple message, isn't it? But it simply is not lived by many who profess His name today because it simply is not known (Titus 1:16). Now that you know what Jesus was like and what His simple message was, just imitate Him daily so you can be an example to others that this is indeed the truth and the only way to live (1 Cor. 11:1; John 3:21; 1 John 1:6-7).

1. A preacher and his wife are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she’s pregnant with the 15th. They’re living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?

2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. Of their four children, the first is blind, the second has died, the third is deaf, the fourth has TB. She finds she’s pregnant again. Given this extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?

3. A white man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she’s now pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?

4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She’s not married. Her fiancé is not the father of the baby, and he’s upset. Would you recommend abortion?

In the first case, you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists in the 19th century. In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven. In the third case, you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer. If you said yes to the fourth case, you would have declared the murder of Jesus Christ!

God is the author of life, and He has givenevery single individual supreme value. Each life—whether inside or outside the womb—should therefore be valued by us. God knows the plans He has for each individual and has written in His book all the days ordained for us before one of them came to be. When we presume to know better than God who should be given life, we are putting ourselves in the place of God and are guilty of idolatry.

There is one passage in Scripture to which I point for all those who want to witness or preach in the open-air. It is 2 Timothy 2:24–26. Memorize it. Scripture tells us that sinners are blind. They cannot see. What would you think if I were to stomp up to a blind man who had just stumbled, and say, “Watch where you’re going, blind man!”? Such an attitude is completely unreasonable. The man cannot see.

The same applies to the lost—spiritual sight is beyond their ability. Look at the words used in Scripture: “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God...The god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not ...But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them. . . Having the understanding darkened. . . because of the blindness of their heart ...Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

With these thoughts in mind, read 2 Timothy 2:24–26 again and look at the adjectives used by Paul to describe the attitude we are to have with sinners: “must not strive...be gentle...patient ...in meekness.” Just as it is unreasonable to be impatient with a blind man, so it is with the sinner. See Matthew 5:10–12 comment.

This I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. There has been one in this world called Jesus of Nazareth, and it is he who says to you, "Let not your heart be troubled...believe in me," which means, "Come to me, tell me your troubles, tell me all about your difficulty about God, the difficulty of prayer, the difficulty about your weak will and failure." I do not care what it is that makes you restless and ill at ease. it may be the possibility of war, it may be illness, it may be business troubles, it may be your own weakness morally in the realm of your will--whatever it is, whatever is troubling and making you unhappy, go to him about it. He is the one who loved you enough to die for you. He said, "come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Mat 11:28). There is no need for you to be unhappy and restless. Believe in Christ. Believe in the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ who came on earth to deliver you from that very thing and who has removed every barrier between you and God and who can give you rest and peace here and now.

Asking Why?

There are many Christians who have wondered why. Why was suffering or pain allowed to enter their lives. Some may have even asked God 'why'. I know I am one of those Christians.

Have you ever wondered why we go through the things we do?

God said:
If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I'm a Healer?
If you never went through difficulties, how would you know that I'm a Deliverer?
If you never had a trial, how could you call yourself an over comer?
If you never felt sadness, how would you know that I'm a Comforter?
If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I'm forgiving?
If you knew all, how would you know that I will answer your questions?
If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to your rescue?
If you never were broken, then how would know that I can make you whole?
If you never had a problem, how would you know that I can solve them?
If you never had any suffering, then how would you know what Jesus went through?
If you never went through the fire, then how would you become pure?
If I gave you all things, how would you appreciate them?
If I never corrected you, how would you know that I love you?
If you had all power, then how would you learn to depend on me?
If your life was perfect, then what would you need Me for?
Thank you, God!

I truly believe that it is not until we know God as Comforter or Healer that we can began to reach out to others and offer them hope in their suffering and pain.

Where Is Jesus In Today's Society?

After reading the account of Jesus' life in the Bible it doesn't take too long to realize where Jesus would be in our society today. He didn't hang out with the politicians, religious leaders, or even the kings of His day. Jesus was in the midst of the lowly, the outcasts, the sinners, the tax collectors, the unloved and the hurting people in His society. Jesus was criticized for the company that He kept.

Has anything changed since that time? I don't believe so. The Bible teaches in Hebrews 13:8 that " Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever." I believe that He can still be found in the same places in our society today. He is still with the sinner. He is with the person who is struggling with addiction. He is sitting right next to the homeless man on the street. He is holding the hand of the little child who is hungry and alone. And right next to the one who is filled with grief and has no hope. He is with those that have found themselves in prison and have no way out.

He is even sitting right next to the people who deny His very existence, waiting patiently for them to turn to Him. Their doubts and unbelief don't deter him because He knows that none of us can make it with out Him. He loves these people too. He is even right next to the people who mock Him. He loves the people that even we have a hard time loving ourselves. He is with those people that irritate us, those that we can't get a long with and even those that we think we are better than. How easy ii is to forget that He is the creator of us all.

When you take the step to reach out to someone who is in need of help or comfort you are going to find that Jesus is standing there right next to you. Jesus counts on us to continue His work here on Earth. We are His hands and feet and quite possibly the only Jesus that someone will ever meet today. If we all took the focus off of ourselves and our problems today and made an attempt to reach out to someone less fortunate than ourselves we would find out exactly where Jesus is in our society today. Maybe it is even someone in our own family that needs our help.

If you run across someone that is wondering where He is you can point them in the right direction. Tell them about the hurting, lost and the lonely people in our society, because that is where you are going to find Him. We all know where these people are, and it is truly a joyous experience to reach out to them and to work along side with Jesus. My hope is that you will experience this for yourself.

Watched an awesome documentary yesterday on The Gospel Music Channel called The Finger of God.

If you haven't seen it I would highly recommend it. The miracles and healings were very powerful. To me this is the way that we need to reach out to a dying unbelieving world by the power of God. To allow God to work through us by showing other people His love for them.

With this movie, you can actually see people being healed of deafness, and lameness, and hear a first hand account of a man being raised from the dead (from the man himself).

It really convicted me that I am guilty of putting God in a box and not believing that He can still work miracles. God is still working mightily in our world today! Powerful stuff!

A prayer for the enlargement of Christ's kingdom. - All our happiness comes from God's mercy; therefore the first thing prayed for is, God be merciful to us, to us sinners, and pardon our sins.
